Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008

This act requires insurance providers offering coverage for mental health or substance use to be comparable to general medical coverage. Co-pays, deductibles, etc. for mental health or substance abuse disorders must not be more restrictive than requirements or benefits of other medical care.
