National Suicide Hotline Designation Act of 2020 (S.2661 )
The National Suicide Hotline Designation Act of 2020 became a public law on October 17, 2020. The act designates a three digit number, 9-8-8, as the universal number for the national suicide prevention and mental health crisis hotline system. Read about the legislation here.
Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008
This act requires insurance providers offering coverage for mental health or substance use to be comparable to general medical coverage.
